What is billy thunderkloud?

Billy Thunderkloud was a Native American musician who was born in Ontario, Canada in 1946 and passed away in 2019. He was a member of the Chippewa tribe and began playing music at a young age. Thunderkloud gained fame in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the group "Billy Thunderkloud and the Chieftones." The group had several hit songs, including "Pledging My Love," "What Time of Day," and "Indian Nation." Thunderkloud performed at the White House during the Nixon administration and also appeared on a number of television shows, including "The Johnny Cash Show" and "Hee Haw." In addition to his music career, Thunderkloud was an advocate for Native American rights and served as a tribal council member in his home community of Maniwaki, Quebec.
